Has it been a year already? This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day! Comic shops around the nation will be giving away comics that have been created/selected specifically for just this occassion. I hear the mayor of Dallas has officially declared Saturday Free Comic Book Day!
And, speaking of Dallas, this Saturday is CAPE 2, the Comics and Pop Culture Expo shindig thrown by Zeus Comics. I'm thinking about going, since I live in Austin. Bryan Hitch will be there, and he's one of my all-time favorite artists. Bunches of webcomics creators will also be there, including Scott Kurtz of PvP and Kristofer Straub of Starslip Crisis—maybe I'll ask Mr. Straub to sign my "A Terrifying Breach of Protocol: A Starslip Crisis Collection"!
