I work on the Ultima Online game for Origin Systems--or I do until April 15, I should say. Our parent company, Electronic Arts is closing the Origin Studio and moving some of the people from Austin, Texas to San Francisco, California, where the main EA office is located. Although I was asked to make that move I'll be staying here in Austin. This past Saturday, some current & ex-Origin staffers got together for a goodbye party at the property of Richard Garriott (a.k.a. Lord British, founder of Origin and currently of NCsoft). You can see my embarrassingly blurry snapshots here.

Um... so what you gonna do next? Where you gonna work, eh?

I don't know yet. I've sent out some resumes, but I need to send out a few more (after I get back from my vacation, which starts tomorrow). If there's any extended downtime, I'll be working to improve my level-building skills, which should help improve my ability to get the sort of job I think I'd like and in which I would work extremely well.
