Christmas disease

In my youth, I often had a flu or somesuch disease within a week of Christmas, so often that I joked that I had "Christmas disease." In recent years, however, December was a fairly healthy month for me. Not so, this year. I got sick with the flu just in time to take a plane trip from Texas to Long Island, where I would be spending the holidays with family and friends. I'm feeling better now, but I'd much prefer to get sick during normal work hours when I could use the break. ;}
