Our new book, Local Heroes: About Time, was recently reviewed by the good folks at The Noob News.
Here's the link to that review: thenoobnews.com/reviews/comics-reviews/local-heroes-about-time-review/.
Forgive me as I spoil the end of the review for you: "Overall a very good comic especially considering it is a collection of weekly strips. It could easily have become disjointed since it is a collection but they all play together nicely and come together to tell an interesting story."
Thanks for the review, Noob News!
Remember when I had a table at Staple earlier this month? Well, Christian Ciscneros from The Noob News interviewed me . . . and that interview is now online! Go to thenoobnews.com/interviews/wednesday-artist-of-the-day-keith-quinn/ to hear me talk about Local Heroes," how I got into comics, and other random comic-related thoughts.
Anthony Rezendes of Cranium Comics recently interviewed me about our joint endeavor, the Part-Time Comics podcast. Go to www.craniumcomics.com/archives/412 to get the inside scoop on the origins, goals, and future of the Part-Time Comics project.
What a day! We've just added a handful of new items to the Hurm Store.
First, the most special addition of the bunch: The latest Local Heroes book: Local Heroes: About Time! But, that's not all. . . .
It's an annual tradition of mine! Once again, I'll be at the Staple! Independent Media Expo at the Marchesa Hall and Theater in Austin, Texas.
Staple is two days this year—Saturday, March 5, through Sunday, March 6. I'll be there both days, at table 14. Joining me at my table is my Part-Time Comics podcast co-host, Anthony Rezendes of Cranium Comics.
The dream I had last night took place in some kind of a sitcom or prime time dramedy. It centered on a main guy that was a sort-of leader of a group of regulars. Something has always been wrong with the main guy's arm. There's a lot of anticipation and speculation, but the audience doesn't know what yet. The regulars include the main guy's annoying, bossy sister. Her motivations are unrevealed up to this point. Mostly, she exists to be pushy--especially when her brother isn't around. She gets audience irritated with her and frequently asks, "What's her problem?"
